In Years 7. 8 and 9, students receive 1 lesson of Drama a fortnight. We make the maximum use of this time with students covering PHSE topics in Year 7, developing a wide range of drama skills and techniques in Year 8, ready for more challenging drama topics in Year 9.
We use a wide range of stimulus to give students ideas for drama and aim to combine this with using a range of technology. In The Warriner School Drama department, we aim: To deliver a curriculum that is inclusive which builds on student’s prior knowledge and experiences.
To value, motivate and challenge learners in order that they may become confident communicators in all areas of their lives. To foster and encourage a love of drama and theatre and enable all individuals to feel successful in their drama work.
