What do we do in Student Support Services?
We meet with Students one -to- one on a regular basis. Our belief is that students should not suffer in silence. If a student, parent or member of staff has a concern – big or small, feel free to share it with one of us. We will treat all information with utmost confidentiality unless there are concerns around child protection, in which case we will seek advice from appropriate agencies.
The Warriner School is very fortunate to be supported by many outside agents, who are all expert in their own particular field. Students, parents and staff can access these agents through Student Support Services.
We offer a dry warm space to students during most lunch and break times. Students may come in to play games, finish off that last minute homework, or simply to chill out and chat with friends. There is always a member of staff around to supervise. We have a young carers group on Tuesday lunchtimes.
We also enjoy working with adults! Throughout the year, we run both staff and parent emotional literacy sessions.
