The Warriner School supports students doing work experience at the very start of Year 11, and in Year 12. We feel that it is a great advantage within the development of students to experience the world of work. This experience will help to mould the future for the student as it will be a positive experience irrespective of whether the student enjoys it or not.

Over the years we have had students carry out placements in all forms of business and the armed forces, resulting in students being offered apprenticeships, employment or places within the armed forces, on attaining school leaving age.

We have a large database of over 500 possible placement opportunities as well as having excellent personal relationships with a large number of businesses.

This year we have moved over to an online system for the completion of all forms. Please click here.

The school subscribes to the Oxfordshire Work Experience (OWE) system where all student placements are checked to ensure safeguarding of the students. Please be aware that, should a student choose to do a placement that is out of Oxfordshire, OWE make a charge of £30 to check the Health & Safety via a cross county link. The payment of this charge is the responsibility of parents, who will be invoiced prior to the placement taking place.

OWE also provide the school with a database called WebView which students can assess to search for jobs in all areas of work. Each student is issued with a personal login name and pin number as well as the link to the site.

Should any parent wish to discuss any aspect of placements then please feel free to contact Mr Nigel Smith at who will endeavour to resolve any issues or concerns.
