Work Experience

All students in our Sixth Form are required to arrange their own work experience, with the support of our careers team.

It is hoped that this work experience week is linked to their career aspirations and is linked to the work that they have been doing with their tutors and on the Unifrog platform throughout the first two terms of their Year 12.

Work experience is highly valued by students and prospective employers and if students have made well-considered choices for their placements, this can lead to the offer of future employment or allow successful networking to take place.

Certain careers also require work experience to have been completed, so this is an important and exciting opportunity for our students.

All students must take part in some form of work-related activity that will enable them to develop critical employability skills needed for real working conditions. These should be meaningful non-qualification activities and should take into account their needs and career plans, as well as prepare them for adult life more general.
