On Friday we will be pausing remote learning to have an alternative day of fun and challenge away from screens! There will be no timetable lessons on this day.
This week is Mental Health awareness week and a perfect opportunity to have alternative day. A time to reset and have a day without home-school pressures. We fully appreciate the effort and engagement our students and families have put into remote learning and feel a reset would give everyone a chance to enjoy something different!
The Heads of House have created five challenges to be completed throughout the day and we would love our students to engage with some if not all. The challenges will be added to Satchel:One on Friday morning as a 'flexible task', with links or signposts to other sites as appropriate.
Students in school
Students booked in to attend school on Friday will also complete all the challenges with Heads of Year/Heads of House and the Senior Leadership Team, organised as a carousel of activities. Students should meet their Head of Year in the following places upon arrival in the morning to register:
- Year 7 – Canteen, Mr Knowles
- Year 8 – Main Hall, Miss Keys
- Year 9 – Sportshall, Mr Evans
- Year 10 – Music Block, Mr Helsby
- Year 11 – Drama studio (Dr1), Miss Connell
All students in school will need to be wearing Physical Education kit and we recommend a coat and jogging bottoms. Students will also need to bring a packed lunch as usual.
