Year 11 celebrate excellent GCSE achievements

There were smiles, celebrations and a real sense of pride at The Warriner School as Year 11 students received their GCSE results today.

This year, 72% of the 284 Year 11 students achieved a pass in both English and Maths, giving them a strong foundation from which to move confidently into their next destinations.

In English, students achieved excellent outcomes, with 80% securing a Grade 4 or above and 70% achieving a Grade 5 or above. In Maths, 75% achieved a Grade 4 or above. The school also celebrated strong results in the Sciences and top grades across the full range of GCSE subjects.

Sharon Nicholls, Head of School, said: “These results are about much more than numbers. They represent years of learning, resilience in the face of significant challenge, and personal growth. We are immensely proud of every student and grateful to our committed staff team and families, whose support has helped our young people reach this important milestone. We warmly congratulate the Class of 2026 and look forward to seeing all that they go on to achieve.”
