Ofqual and the Department for Education (DfE) have confirmed that students will sit GCSEs, A levels and complete any non-exam assessments following standard arrangements in 2024. In recognition of the disruption the 2024 cohort of students experienced, the DfE has confirmed that, for exams in 2024 it is not necessary for students to memorise formulae for GCSE mathematics and equations for GCSE physics and combined science as formulae and equation sheets will be provided.
The 2-year transition to pre-pandemic grading is now complete and normal grading arrangements will continue for GCSEs, AS and A levels in 2024.
