Race for the Line - Year 7
On Wednesday all students in Year 7 took part in the Race for the Line race day at The Warriner school. Race for the Line is a national rocket car competition linked with the bloodhound car, which we have built into our Year 7 scheme to put 'forces' into a relevant context. The race day was run by three wonderful members of the RAF; Stu, Martin, and Wendy set up the race track and organised the pyrotechnics. Students experimented to help them design their cars and hopefully enjoyed the race day as much as I did. The school's winning group will go on to compete at a regional event, and could win a trip to South Africa to watch bloodhound run: just to keep you in suspense this will be revealed in assembly soon!
